Resocialization

Reality House has a transitional service program as part of its comprehensive approach towards treatment. This program helps formerly incarcerated individuals, with substance abuse related issues, make a smooth transition into becoming productive members of society.

Reality House assists clients towards this goal by engaging them in a variety of group activities (i.e., outings to the Apollo Theater, picnics, movies, drug-free sober parties) that help accustom individuals to life outside of prison. Role-playing is also used in order to avoid the pitfalls of recidivism.
